For the preparation of idiyappam: Soak the Philominas semia in water for 5 to 10 min, then drain off the water for some time. After that steam it with grinded coconut to make tasty idiyappam.
For the preparation of Upumav: After crushing the semia, soak it for 5 to 10 min. Then drain off the water for sometime to make the upumav.
